Project: Automatic loading of Cakes & Muffins

Our customer - a supplier to some of the largest supermarket chains, wanted to automate the end of line packaging of cakes and muffins. In the past they were removed from the line manually and stored for cooling on wire trays then manually batch fed into the downstream packaging equipment by hand and placed into the acetate trays.  

Solution

In order to facilitate that we designed and manufactured some special equipment that was not available as standard machinery which included:

• System to automatically distribute products from discharge of the continuous oven to automatically feed the from the ovens
• Flow Wrapper - specially adapted high spec stainless steel, servo driven.
• System to automatically apply toppings to cakes then automatically close the lids on the acetate trays.
• Servo driven rotation system for product distribution.
• Twin headed labelling system adapted to meet with the speed requirements.
• Automated lid closer and topping dispenser.
